The city government began to equip recreation areas for picnics in Kiev this year. Now there are about 40 such equipped and comfort zones for Kiev tourism. The very first - Trostyanets - was created in 1964, and in 2012 was opened Oakwood Forest and Rainbow in Darnytskyi district. We create picnic areas in places that have chosen by Kiev residents and tourists. There we set wooden platforms with roof where you can sit, light a fire and cook a meal. Now there are about 40 places in Kiev, and we will spread this practice in the future, - The Kiev Mayor Alexander Popov said.
Two recreation areas in Svyatoshinsky LPG - World and Pearl will be reconstructed next year. All public entertainment areas are kept for Kiev tourism in a sanitary condition. They are equipped with shelter from bad weather, woodland furniture like mushrooms, garbage containers, campfire, cooking barbeque, playgrounds and toilets.
